With over 30 years of proven leadership in both high-stakes finance and luxury event production, James LaRusso blends strategic acumen with refined creative vision to help discerning clients celebrate life’s biggest moments and build enduring legacies.
James began his career as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch before serving as Vice President of Investments at JP Morgan Chase, advising high-net-worth clients and developing personalized growth strategies. He later served as President of a Board of Directors and as Business Development Director for one of Sarasota’s top firms, where he oversaw six regional offices and helped craft business strategies that accelerated firm-wide growth and market expansion.
His entrepreneurial success continued with the creation of a nationally awarded luxury event brand, which he scaled to seven figures across three states. His firm earned a place in The Knot’s Best of Weddings Hall of Fame and was named Most Supportive Wedding Coordinator – Northeast USA by LUXlife Global Wedding Awards, along with numerous distinctions from WeddingWire, Rent My Wedding, and ThreeBestRated.
Now based in Sarasota and serving clients nationwide, James leads James LaRusso Signature Events—a boutique firm dedicated to exceptional event production and transformational coaching for founders, creatives, and visionaries. As a certified SCORE Mentor, he continues to empower entrepreneurs through legacy-driven strategy, elite brand positioning, and the kind of clarity that fuels confident, sustainable growth.
